House LFS
Driven by a desire to transform spaces and fill them with harmony, security, and sensuality, Constanze Ladner has been developing refined, cosmopolitan interior and design concepts since 2018. Her own home—a rectory built in 1967 in Mainz, where she has lived since 2020—became a personal laboratory for her approach. What was once a largely original structure with dark clinker surfaces, linoleum floors, and low ceilings was transformed into a light, contemporary retreat. Inspired by the lush garden and a large fig tree, Ladner created a carefully balanced color and material concept that works with tone-on-tone hues, layered textures, and deliberate accents. Greens and yellows echo the surrounding nature, while deep red and Bordeaux tones in the kitchen and dining area add warmth and depth. Furniture, textiles, and surfaces merge seamlessly with the architecture, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere. Sensitivity, functionality, sustainability, and comfort run like a quiet undercurrent through her work, lending the house a subtle, almost magical sense of coherence.
