House SNB

The historic apartment on the outskirts of Wiesbaden, located directly adjacent to the city forest, is defined by its strong original fabric and clearly articulated sequence of rooms. Stucco ceilings in varying expressions—from restrained to floral—herringbone parquet in the connecting rooms, and wooden floorboards in the remaining spaces form the project’s foundational design elements. Dark door and window frames, original built-ins, and traces of former uses lend the interiors depth and character. The design responds to this existing condition with a sensitive approach that preserves and carefully evolves the apartment’s inherent qualities.
